Herb Flank Steak



  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of beef flank or round steak
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 to 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)



  • Make cuts about 1/2 inch apart and 1/4 inch deep in a diamond pattern on both sides. (This helps tenderize the beef).
  • Mix remaining ingredients, and rub into beef.
  • Can refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
  • Set oven control to broil.
  • Line the pan with aluminum foil and place the beef on the rack in a broiler pan.
  • Broil beef with top 2 to 3 inches from heat for about 5 minutes or until brown.
  • Turn, and broil about 5 minutes longer. Or you can fry in a skillet to your taste.
