Based on the cell free nucleic acid analysis information of blood samples, the results of microbiome and metabolite analysis of stool and urine samples of pancreatic cancer and bile duct cancer patients, the clinical correlations of them with primary cancer are evaluated. And based on these information, biomarkers for diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of pancreatic and bile duct cancer are explored.
This is a single arm, open-label Phase II clinical trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of the Combination of Nab-paclitaxel and Gemcitabine in Treating Patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer.
The purpose of the study is to assess the efficacy and safety of Acoustic Cluster Therapy (ACT) when given in addition to chemotherapy for treatment of Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer.
This is a phase 1 open-label study to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a neoantigen peptide vaccine strategy in pancreatic cancer patients following surgical resection and adjuvant chemotherapy. The neoantigen peptide vaccines will incorporate prioritized neoantigens and personalized mesothelin epitopes and will be co-administered with poly-ICLC. The hypothesis of this study is that neoantigen peptide vaccines will be safe and capable of generating measurable neoantigen-specific CD4 and CD8 T cell responses.
This study will assess the efficacy of treating locally advanced pancreatic cancer using Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (using Trilogy) and Gemcitabine
The vast majority of patients with distal biliary, pancreatic head or uncinate process cancer have jaundice caused by distal malignant obstruction (DMO) of the common bile duct. Biliary drainage by Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) with trans-papillary stent placement is the treatment of choice.
ERCP has a failure rate ranging from 12 – 25 percent. Percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) is the alternative conventional way to drain the biliary tree after ERCP failure, which is related with substantial morbidity (62%) and mortality (17%). Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided biliary drainage (EUS-BD) is a novel promising drainage modality with reported excellent outcomes in terms of clinical success and complications.
The implementation of EUS-BD besides ERCP and PTBD into Dutch daily clinical practice raises many questions related to performance, costs, QoL, training, implementation and overall oncological treatment success. This structured learning/proctoring program with an additional national registry provides insights into EUS-BD and how to implement EUS-BD in the Dutch standard of care.
This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of sunitinib and gemcitabine in treating patients with pancreatic cancer or other solid tumors. Sunitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in hemotherapy, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving sunitinib together with gemcitabine may kill more tumor cells.
Primary Endpoint:
To determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of vorinostat + radiation therapy (RT) in patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC).
Secondary Endpoints:
1. To assess the efficacy of vorinostat + RT in patients with LAPC as estimated by median overall survival.
2. To determine the radiological response as assessed by regular computer tomography (CT) and/or dynamic contrast enhanced computer tomography (DCE-CT) among patients treated with vorinostat and RT.
3. To evaluate the occurrence of symptoms and correlate to disease progression and tolerance to treatment using the MD Anderson Symptom Inventory-Gastrointestinal Module (MDASI-GI) self-reporting tool.
4. To correlate serum cytokine levels with symptoms and treatment outcomes.
This is a phase 1b, multi-center, open label, randomized study to evaluate the safety and feasibility of administering metformin with or without rapamycin after disease stabilization on chemotherapy in subjects with metastatic PDA.
RATIONALE: Pioglitazone may slow the growth of tumor cells and may be an effective treatment for pancreatic cancer.
PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying how well pioglitazone works as second-line therapy in treating patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer that progressed after treatment with gemcitabine.
